Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate direct patient care including assistance with activities of daily living
  • Take and report vital signs and observe changes in patient condition
  • Assist nursing staff with safe patient transfers and mobility support
  • Document patient care and communicate changes promptly and clearly
  • Support a clean, safe, and respectful environment for patients and families
  • Collaborate with the care team to help deliver high-quality, person-centered care

Qualifications

  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — required
  • Valid CNA authorization or registration in California (if applicable)
  • Comfortable assisting with patient transfers, hygiene, and basic clinical tasks
  • Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
  • Willingness to complete facility-required background checks and immunizations

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

  • Hands-on patient care and assistance with ADLs
  • Measuring and recording vital signs accurately
  • Basic infection control and hygiene practices
  • Clear documentation and effective communication with clinical teams
  • Compassionate bedside manner and ability to support diverse patient populations
  • Time management and ability to prioritize patient needs during a busy shift
