Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care including ADLs, bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance
• Monitor and document patients’ vital signs and report changes to the nurse in charge
• Support safe patient transfers and use proper body mechanics at all times
• Maintain a clean and safe environment, following infection control protocols
• Communicate clearly and kindly with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team
• Assist with meal setup, feeding, and hydration monitoring as needed
• Participate in handoffs and contribute to accurate, timely charting

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (required)
• Valid state credentials and ability to work in California
• Comfortable working the overnight/night shift
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong communication skills
• Background check and health screening clearance (e.g., TB, immunizations) per facility policy
• Previous direct patient care experience preferred but new grads with strong training are encouraged

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Familiarity with activities of daily living (ADLs) and basic patient care
• Ability to take and record accurate vital signs
• Patient mobility and safe transfer techniques
• Basic charting and documentation skills
• Strong teamwork, time management, and observational skills
• Comfort with working in fast-paced clinical settings overnight
