Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care — assist with bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly
• Support safe transfers and positioning, using proper body mechanics
• Assist the nursing team with ADLs and basic clinical tasks to improve patient comfort
• Document care activities and observations clearly and professionally
• Communicate with patients and families with respect and empathy to enhance patient experience
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control procedures

Qualifications

• Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — required
• Current CPR/BLS certification (or willing to obtain)
• Active state nursing aide registry in good standing
• Comfortable with night/overnight shifts and per diem scheduling
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or acute care preferred but new grads are welcome

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient hygiene and ADL assistance
• Accurate vital sign measurement and documentation
• Basic infection control and hand hygiene practices
• Safe patient transfer and positioning techniques
• Familiarity with electronic charting or paper charting methods
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
