Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients, assisting with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team
• Assist with safe mobility and transfers, promoting patient comfort and safety
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient charts
• Support infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
• Respond calmly and promptly to patient needs and clinical requests

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
• Valid state certification as required (California state certification preferred)
• Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain
• Ability to work overnight shifts and adapt to per diem scheduling
• Pass background check and provide required immunization records
• Previous experience in long-term care, acute care, or similar settings is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient care fundamentals and comfort with hands-on tasks
• Basic vital sign measurement and documentation skills
• Infection control and universal precautions knowledge
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to follow care plans and report status changes accurately
• Time management and prioritization in fast-paced clinical settings
