Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients including assistance with activities of daily living
• Take and record vital signs accurately to help the care team make informed decisions
• Support mobility and safe transfers while promoting patient dignity and comfort
• Assist with bathing, dressing, toileting and feeding while observing for changes in condition
• Communicate clearly and kindly with patients, families and the care team
• Document care delivered in a timely, accurate manner and report concerns to nursing staff

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
• Comfortable working a 12-hour day shift and standing for extended periods
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with a patient-first attitude
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening as required
• Up-to-date immunizations as per facility policy; CPR/BLS preferred or willing to obtain

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred; must hold current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of patient safety practices and infection control
• Skill in taking vital signs, measuring intake/output, and observing clinical changes
• Familiarity with safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Basic documentation skills and ability to follow care plans
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
