Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care including assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting)
• Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team
• Assist with safe patient transfers and mobility support
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients
• Support documentation and communication in the patient chart to ensure continuity of care
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
• Valid state CNA license or registration as required by California
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to work overnight shifts and provide reliable per-diem coverage
• Successful background check and up-to-date immunizations per facility policy
• Strong interpersonal skills and a caring attitude toward patients and families

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Completion of an approved CNA training program (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in basic patient care tasks and safe transfer techniques
• Accurate vital signs measurement and documentation
• Understanding of infection control and patient safety standards
• Comfortable assisting with ADLs and mobility support
• Clear communication with patients, families, and clinical staff
• Ability to follow care plans and report changes in patient condition
