Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to patients, assisting with daily living activities
• Take and record vital signs, reporting any changes to nursing staff promptly
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and safe patient positioning to prevent injury
• Support personal hygiene needs including bathing, dressing, and toileting with dignity
• Document care activities accurately and communicate effectively with the care team
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) valid in California
• Demonstrated experience providing direct patient care (per-diem roles welcome)
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements
• Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-first attitude
• Available to work the scheduled per-diem day shift (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM) on specified dates

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completed state-approved CNA training program and certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable with basic clinical tasks: vital signs, ADL assistance, feeding and toileting
• Familiarity with patient safety and infection prevention protocols
• Basic charting and documentation skills
• Ability to follow care plans and take direction from nurses and supervisors
• Good interpersonal skills for working with patients, families, and the care team
• Stamina for 12-hour shifts and safe patient handling techniques
