Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate basic patient care including bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team promptly
• Assist with activities of daily living and encourage patient independence
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control protocols
• Document patient interactions and care accurately in the medical record
• Communicate clearly and empathetically with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team
• Support safe patient transfers and use proper body mechanics at all times

Qualifications

• Current CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) certification in California
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable working night shifts and weekend coverage
• Ability to pass background checks and meet facility credentialing requirements
• Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-centered attitude
• Previous experience in long-term care, acute care, or skilled nursing helpful but not required

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Current CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Foundational nursing assistant skills: bathing, feeding, toileting, and mobility assistance
• Measuring and recording vital signs accurately
• Basic infection prevention and safety practices
• Professional documentation and reporting of patient status
• Teamwork and clear communication with nurses and other care staff
• Time management and ability to prioritize patient needs
