Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, safe direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs and communicate changes to the nursing team
• Support safe patient transfers and mobility with proper technique
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and care notes
• Help create a comfortable, respectful environment for patients and families
• Collaborate with nurses and healthcare staff to deliver coordinated care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential
• Comfortable and capable working overnight 12+ hour shifts
• Strong communication skills and a team-player attitude
• Basic competency in patient hygiene, mobility assistance, and vital signs
• Willingness to complete facility onboarding, background check, and any required screenings

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Current CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on patient care and assistance with ADLs
• Basic infection control and safety protocols
• Accurate vital sign measurement and reporting
• Clear documentation and handoff communication
• Calm problem-solving in fast-paced situations
• Compassionate bedside manner and patient advocacy

This per diem position is based in Rio Rancho, just northwest of Albuquerque.
