Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Perform timely and accurate vital signs, documenting results per facility policy
• Assist nursing team with patient transfers, mobility support, and safe positioning
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control procedures
• Communicate observations clearly to nurses and the care team to support great outcomes
• Support mealtime assistance and respectful feeding when needed
• Demonstrate reliability by arriving prepared for assigned shifts and tasks

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
• Ability to work 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM shifts and pick up per diem coverage as needed
• Comfortable performing basic patient care and following care plans
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with the care team
• Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus
• BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic patient care procedures and safety practices
• Ability to measure and document vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with infection control and safe handling techniques
• Good interpersonal skills and empathy when interacting with residents and families
• Basic charting and documentation skills
• Teamwork and time-management in a fast-paced care environment
