Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents as a Certified Nursing Assistant
• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Take and record vital signs and report changes in condition to the nursing team
• Support safe transfers and proper use of equipment to prevent injury
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care and observations
• Work collaboratively with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver quality care
• Follow infection control protocols and facility policies to ensure resident safety

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — active in Pennsylvania preferred
• Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing helpful but new grads welcome
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or able to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening per facility requirements
• Compassionate communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Completed CNA training program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Fundamentals of direct patient care and bathing/dressing/toileting assistance
• Taking and documenting vital signs accurately
• Infection control practices and proper PPE use
• Basic charting and communication with nursing staff
• Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
• Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-first attitude
