Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate critical care to adult ICU patients
• Assess, monitor, and respond to patients' changing clinical conditions
• Administer medications and titrate infusions safely according to orders
• Operate and troubleshoot ventilators and advanced monitoring equipment
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans
• Document care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record
• Mentor and support peers to maintain a positive, patient-focused unit culture

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Louisiana or compact license if applicable
• Critical care/ICU experience (current skills in caring for ventilated and hemodynamically unstable patients)
• Current BLS certification; ACLS strongly preferred
• Comfort with 12-hour shift model and ability to work rotating schedules
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and teamwork mindset

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation
• Ventilator management and respiratory patient care
• IV therapy, titration of vasoactive drips, and infusion pump use
• Accurate electronic charting and clinical documentation
• Excellent prioritization, critical thinking, and crisis resource management
• Effective interdisciplinary communication and patient advocacy
