Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care and monitor residents' vital signs with accuracy and respect
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols
• Document patient status, interventions, and responses clearly and promptly in the chart
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and support staff to implement individualized care plans
• Assist with activities of daily living while promoting dignity and independence
• Assess changes in patient condition and escalate concerns to the care team when needed
• Support a safe, clean environment and follow infection control and safety procedures

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Maryland or compact eligibility where applicable
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain promptly
• Ability to pass required background checks and drug screening
• Comfort working night shift hours and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams
• Previous experience in long-term care or similar settings is a plus

Education

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong medication administration and documentation skills
• Knowledge of basic nursing assessments and wound care principles
• Familiarity with infection prevention and standard precautions
• Good communication skills for patient, family, and team interactions
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a busy long-term care environment
