Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents as a Certified Nursing Assistant
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing and toileting
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes in condition promptly
• Document resident care accurately and communicate observations to the nursing team
• Support safe transfers and mobility using appropriate techniques and equipment
• Foster a respectful, dignified environment that promotes resident comfort and independence

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification in New Mexico (required)
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred
• Comfortable working overnight 12+ hour shifts and available for per diem coverage
• Previous CNA experience in long-term care, skilled nursing or similar setting preferred
• Clear background check and eligibility for state nursing assistant registry

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong fundamentals in resident hygiene and personal care
• Ability to take and accurately record vital signs
• Knowledge of infection control and safe patient handling
• Clear communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with nursing staff
• Basic documentation skills and attention to detail
• Compassionate bedside manner and respect for resident dignity
