Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents by assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team promptly
• Assist with safe transfers, ambulation and mobility support to promote independence
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and resident interactions
• Follow infection control protocols and contribute to a clean, safe environment
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists and families to support individualized care plans

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (state-required or eligible)
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or required per facility policy
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen and required health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-centered attitude
• Comfortable working overnight shifts and adaptable to per diem scheduling

Education

• High school diploma or GED (preferred)
• Current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Fundamentals of patient care and ADL assistance
• Vital sign measurement and basic clinical observations
• Safe transfer and lifting techniques
• Basic charting and documentation practices
• Infection control and standard precautions
• Teamwork, time management and effective communication
