Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents with dignity and respect
- Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility) to promote independence
- Observe and report changes in residents’ condition to the nursing team promptly
- Perform routine charting and documentation accurately and on time
- Support safe transfers and use of assistive devices to reduce fall risk
- Help create a warm, home-like atmosphere in the assisted living community
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) credential — valid in NH (VT credential likely acceptable as noted)
- Minimum local experience working in assisted living or long-term care preferred
- Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain) recommended
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; reliable and professional
- Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Completed LNA training program required
Knowledge & Skills
- Resident-centered care and basic nursing assistance
- Safe transfer and mobility techniques
- Accurate documentation and basic charting systems
- Infection prevention and basic safety protocols
- Effective communication with residents, families and interdisciplinary teams
