Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Monitor and document vital signs and patient conditions accurately
• Assist nursing staff with timely, safe transfer and positioning of patients
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and clinical team members
• Contribute to patient comfort and dignity through respectful, person-centered care
• Report changes in patient status promptly and participate in care planning

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (required)
• Active CNA listing or licensure in California
• BLS/CPR certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
• Comfort working overnight shifts and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams
• Strong communication skills and a caring attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED (preferred)
• Completed state-approved CNA program and certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient hygiene and safe transfer techniques
• Vital signs measurement and documentation
• Basic wound care and infection control practices
• Electronic and paper charting familiarity
• Time management and prioritization during busy shifts
• Teamwork, clear communication, and patient advocacy
