Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to assigned patients
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes to the nursing team
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Maintain clear, accurate documentation of patient care and observations
• Support safe patient transfers and use of mobility aids
• Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff
• Collaborate with nurses and other team members to ensure consistent care

Qualifications

• Current, active CNA certification in the state of California
• Minimum prior experience as a CNA is preferred; new grads welcome with strong references
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or able to obtain
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to complete required health screenings
• Successful background check and ability to pass a drug screen
• Strong communication skills and a caring bedside manner

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• State-approved CNA program completion and active certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable assisting with ADLs and patient hygiene
• Skillful at taking and documenting vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with basic charting and electronic medical records
• Knowledge of infection control practices and safety procedures
• Ability to work independently overnight and escalate concerns appropriately
• Team player mindset and strong patient advocacy skills
