Shift Type: Night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, Every Other Week (EOW) schedule - Night

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assess and monitor telemetry and med/surg patients, responding quickly to changes in condition
Administer medications and treatments safely and document care accurately
Interpret telemetry rhythms and escalate concerns to the interdisciplinary team
Provide compassionate patient education and support during hospitalization
Collaborate with physicians, therapists and ancillary staff to coordinate care plans
Maintain compliance with facility competency testing and skills checklists
Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Qualifications

Current, valid RN license (state licensure required)
BLS and ACLS certification required
TNCC and NIHSS certifications required
Demonstrated experience in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing (Med/Surg Tele)
Ability to complete Trinity specialty competency testing and Trinity skills checklist
Meet health screening requirements (vaccinations, drug screen, fit test, TB testing, etc.)

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and rhythm recognition
Clinical judgment and med/surg nursing fundamentals
ACLS and BLS clinical application
Trauma assessment fundamentals (TNCC) and stroke scale familiarity (NIHSS)
Accurate documentation and adherence to competency checklists
Infection control practices and adherence to required health screenings
