Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality Med/Surg and telemetry nursing care to assigned patients
• Perform continuous telemetry monitoring and interpret cardiac rhythms to inform treatment
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document accurately in the patient record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Maintain competency through required Trinity specialty testing and skills checklists
• Ensure compliance with infection control, immunization, and workplace health requirements

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state licensure required)
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• TNCC and NIHSS certifications as listed
• Experience in Med/Surg nursing and telemetry monitoring
• Ability to complete Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Skills Checklist
• Willingness to complete required health screenings: fit test, drug screen, immunizations, PPD/IGRA, etc.

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry strip interpretation and continuous cardiac monitoring
• Med/Surg clinical assessment and interventions
• Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking during night shifts
• Accurate clinical documentation and charting practices
• Effective communication and teamwork with physicians, techs, and ancillary staff
• Familiarity with competency-based testing and skills validation processes
