Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to pediatric intensive care patients
Monitor and assess patient status continuously and intervene promptly when needed
Administer medications and therapies safely and document accurately
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to develop and execute care plans
Participate in orientation and unit training to support high-quality onboarding
Communicate with families with empathy, clarity, and professionalism

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state licensure required)
Experience or training in Pediatric Intensive Care (PICU) preferred
Current BLS; PALS and/or ACLS preferred or willing to obtain
Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in pediatric critical care monitoring and interventions
Familiarity with ICU equipment and electronic medical records
Excellent documentation and care coordination abilities
Ability to prioritize tasks and respond to rapidly changing clinical situations
Commitment to family-centered care and patient safety
