Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate, evidence-based critical care to pediatric patients in the PICU
Monitor patient status closely and intervene promptly for clinical changes
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to develop and execute care plans
Communicate clearly and empathetically with families and caregivers about patient progress
Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record
Participate in orientation, unit training, and quality improvement initiatives to strengthen patient care

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California or eligibility per state rules
Clinical experience or interest in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) nursing
BLS required; ACLS and PALS strongly preferred or willing to obtain
Comfortable managing critically ill pediatric patients and complex equipment
Strong teamwork, communication, and documentation skills

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Pediatric critical care assessment and monitoring
Familiarity with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
Medication preparation and safe IV administration
Proficiency with electronic medical record documentation
Family-centered care and strong bedside communication
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
