Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU
• Monitor patient status closely and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary team members to develop and adjust care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately, following hospital protocols
• Educate and communicate with families in a clear, empathetic way during stressful times
• Participate in orientation and training to maintain clinical competency and unit standards

Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in California (candidates should be prepared to obtain/maintain state licensure)
• Experience or interest in pediatric critical care settings such as PICU
• Current BLS certification; PALS and other pediatric certifications are highly valued
• Comfort working as part of a high-performing critical care team and participating in patient- and family-centered care
• Ability to complete orientation and required onboarding processes

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong pediatric assessment and monitoring skills
• Familiarity with critical care equipment and medication administration
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and remain calm under pressure
• Commitment to compassionate, family-centered pediatric care
