Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered Med/Surg nursing care with confidence and compassion
• Assess patients, develop and implement individualized care plans, and reassess to ensure progress
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate timely, effective patient care
• Document assessments, interventions and outcomes clearly in the medical record
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments and discharge plans
• Advocate for patient needs and help maintain a safe, healing environment

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license in Louisiana (required)
• Experience in Medical-Surgical nursing (Med/Surg) — ready to hit the floor with confidence
• Comfortable working 12-hour shifts and providing hands-on patient care
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced certifications (ACLS) a plus
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and teamwork mindset

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of Med/Surg nursing principles and acute care practices
• Medication administration and IV therapy skills
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
• Patient assessment, wound care, and post-operative care experience
• Excellent communication, prioritization, and time-management skills
