Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality med/surg nursing care to a diverse patient population
Assess, monitor and document patient status and respond to changes in condition
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Collaborate with physicians, therapists and team members to coordinate patient care
Educate patients and families about care plans, treatments and discharge instructions
Contribute to unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Qualifications

RN with med/surg experience (core skill listed in the posting)
Comfort and proficiency with 12-hour shift work (posting indicates 12-hour shifts)
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills

Knowledge & Skills

Med/Surg patient care knowledge and clinical judgment
Vital sign assessment, medication administration and IV therapy skills
Accurate charting and familiarity with electronic health records
Effective communication and teamwork in a fast-paced setting
Time management and prioritization for 12-hour shift work
