Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on a Medical-Surgical unit
Assess patient condition, monitor vital signs, and promptly report changes
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care plans
Document patient status, interventions, and progress in the medical record
Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge planning

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (state licensure per facility requirements)
Experience or clinical comfort in Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) nursing
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; additional certifications appreciated
Strong clinical judgment, organization, and the ability to manage multiple priorities
Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate across disciplines

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Assessment and monitoring of Med/Surg patients
Medication administration and safe documentation practices
Familiarity with common medical-surgical interventions and post-op care
Proficiency with electronic health records and accurate charting
Ability to triage changes in patient condition and escalate appropriately
