Roles & Responsibilities

Assess and monitor medical-surgical patients to identify changes in condition early
Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care and administer treatments as ordered
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient-centered care
Document assessments, interventions and patient responses accurately and promptly
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications and discharge plans
Advocate for patient needs and contribute to continuous improvement on the unit

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia or ability to obtain one
Experience working in Medical-Surgical settings (Med/Surg) — demonstrated competence in managing adult medical-surgical patients
Current basic life support (BLS) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Comfort with 12+ hour clinical shifts and the stamina to provide consistent, compassionate care
Strong communication, clinical judgment and teamwork skills

Patient assessment and bedside clinical skills
Medication administration and documentation accuracy
Ability to prioritize, triage and respond to changing patient needs
