Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care for medical-surgical patients
Assess and monitor patient condition, recognizing and escalating changes promptly
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Collaborate closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate care
Maintain clear, timely documentation in the patient record
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans to support recovery

Qualifications

Active RN license in Louisiana or eligibility to obtain state licensure
Experience in Medical-Surgical nursing preferred
Current BLS certification required; advanced certifications such as ACLS or specialty certifications encouraged
Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced setting
Positive team attitude and reliable work ethic

Education

Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ASN/BSN) required

Knowledge & Skills

Solid knowledge of medical-surgical nursing principles and best practices
Medication administration and IV therapy competence
Proficient with electronic health records and clinical documentation
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to triage, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively
