Bill Rate: $25,000 sign-on; $10,000 relocation; $25,000 annual geographic differential

Roles & Responsibilities
- Coordinate and deliver safe, therapeutic nursing care for long-term care residents
- Perform thorough nursing assessments, document findings in the EHR, and update care plans
- Administer medications and therapeutics accurately and monitor resident response
- Provide leadership on shift: delegate, supervise, and support CNAs, LPNs, and techs
- Respond calmly and competently to emergencies and escalate when needed
- Teach and support residents and families; participate in discharge planning and care conferences
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to set goals and ensure continuity of care
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with facility policies, mandatory reporting, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN, ADN, or Diploma in Nursing)
- Current, full, unrestricted RN license in Alaska or another U.S. state (Direct hire must have applied for Alaska license before start date; agency staff must hold an active Alaska RN license)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) credential
- Clinical Competency and High Risk Competency (required within 3 months of hire; recurring per policy)
- Minimum 1–2 years of nursing experience preferred
- Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs and meet physical demands of the role
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) OR Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) OR Diploma in Nursing
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong nursing assessment, care planning, and clinical judgment skills
- Medication administration and pharmaceutical knowledge
- Infection control practices and emergency response (AED familiarity)
- EHR documentation proficiency and accurate charting
- Ability to delegate, supervise, and provide constructive feedback
- Excellent verbal and written communication with residents, families, and team members
