Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to adults in your assigned unit
Assess patient condition and implement appropriate nursing interventions
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the care team to coordinate excellent care
Document patient care clearly and timely in the electronic medical record
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
Advocate for patient safety and quality improvement initiatives on your unit

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — Pennsylvania state licensure or applicable compact license
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
Prior acute care or hospital experience preferred
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively on an interdisciplinary team
Comfort with electronic medical records and clinical documentation

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Excellent patient assessment and clinical judgment skills
Medication administration and IV therapy knowledge
Familiarity with infection control and patient safety best practices
Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
Compassionate patient and family education skills
