Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to critically ill patients in the ICU
• Monitor patients closely and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and complex treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and update patient care plans
• Perform thorough assessments, document findings, and communicate with families compassionately
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
• Mentor and support colleagues when covering shifts to maintain continuity of care

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license (California license strongly preferred)
• Recent ICU experience and comfort with critical care monitoring and interventions
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to prioritize in high-acuity settings
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills; dependable and professional

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with critical care monitoring equipment and infusion devices
• Knowledge of ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
• Familiarity with ICU protocols, charting systems, and medication administration safety
• Ability to triage, prioritize, and make time-sensitive clinical decisions
• Strong documentation skills and attention to detail
