Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate critical care to ICU patients
• Continuously monitor and interpret patient conditions and vital signs
• Administer medications and IV therapies safely and accurately
• Respond rapidly to emergencies and coordinate life-saving interventions
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the care team to optimize outcomes
• Document patient care, assessments, and interventions clearly in the medical record
• Educate patients and families about condition, care plans, and discharge needs
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California (required)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) preferred
• Previous ICU or critical care experience preferred
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and adapt to fast-paced critical care settings
• Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and IV skills
• Current CPR certification and up-to-date immunizations per facility policy

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care monitoring and interpretation of hemodynamics
• Familiarity with ventilator management and respiratory support
• Proficient clinical judgment and rapid decision-making in urgent situations
• Clear communication and teamwork across interdisciplinary teams
• Competence with electronic health records and timely documentation
• Infection control practices and patient safety focus
