Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, high-quality patient care in the Emergency Department
• Perform rapid assessment and triage to prioritize patient needs
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate closely with physicians, techs, and support staff to coordinate patient care
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses clearly and timely
• Respond effectively to emergency situations and assist with resuscitation efforts
• Participate in orientation activities and share best practices with new team members
• Support continuous improvement efforts and contribute to a positive ED culture

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire (or compact license where accepted)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced certifications such as ACLS and PALS recommended or preferred for ED roles
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced emergency environment with strong clinical judgment
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to patient care
• Prior ED experience preferred but motivated, well-trained nurses are welcome

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong triage and acute assessment skills
• Proficiency with medication administration and IV therapy
• Familiarity with emergency procedures and basic resuscitation protocols
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple critically ill patients
• Clear, concise documentation and effective handoff communication
• Teamwork, adaptability, and a calm presence under pressure
