Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess, triage, and prioritize patients in the Emergency Department with speed and clinical judgment
• Provide evidence-based nursing care including medication administration and advanced interventions
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and ancillary staff to develop and implement patient-focused care plans
• Perform critical procedures and monitor patient status, escalating concerns promptly
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the electronic health record
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up care with compassion

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Hawaii or ability to obtain prior to start
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) preferred
• Previous Emergency Department experience or relevant acute care background preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and triage skills
• Current basic immunizations and compliance with facility health requirements

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN). BSN preferred.

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient assessment, triage, and emergency interventions
• Comfortable with IV therapy, medication administration, and emergency procedures
• Proficient clinical documentation and ability to work with electronic health records
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and the ability to stay calm under pressure
• Knowledge of ED workflows, safety protocols, and infection control practices
