Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency nursing care to patients in the ED
Perform rapid assessment, triage, and prioritization of emergency cases
Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to create and implement care plans
Monitor patient status, recognize changes, and intervene appropriately
Document patient care clearly and promptly in the health record
Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse license in Louisiana or compact RN licensure if applicable
Experience or interest in Emergency Department/ER nursing
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Triage and emergency assessment expertise
Ability to manage trauma and acute medical emergencies
Proficiency with IV therapy, medication administration, and basic procedures
Clear communication and teamwork in high-stress situations
Comfort using electronic health records and documenting care accurately
