Roles & Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the radiology program to ensure high-quality imaging services and regulatory compliance.
• Track incoming radiology studies to confirm proper submission and timely reporting.
• Provide PACS training and support for staff to maximize system use and workflow efficiency.
• Coordinate equipment maintenance, inspections, and vendor quotes to keep imaging technology safe and operational.
• Develop and maintain radiology policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with federal, state, and accreditation standards.
• Manage the radiation protection monitoring program and perform required lead apron testing.
• Work with Finance to maintain the radiology chargemaster and identify opportunities for improved revenue capture.
• Supervise radiology staff, conduct timely evaluations, ensure competencies, and perform radiologic exams as qualified.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Radiology
• Registered Radiological Technologist (ARRT) required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Registered Mammographer preferred
• Registered Ultrasound Technologist preferred
• Minimum 5 years experience in Radiology Management and supervision
• Minimum 5 years experience as a Radiology Technologist
• PACS training required; CT technologist experience preferred; MRI technologist experience preferred

Education

• Graduate from an accredited School of Radiology

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of federal, state, and accreditation regulations related to radiology services
• Experience with digitized imaging and MQSA requirements
• Strong skills in quality assurance and quality control processes
• Ability to manage radiation protection and safety programs
• Familiarity with chargemaster management and revenue capture strategies
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Comfort working in multiple computer systems and documenting medical information clearly
• Strong supervisory and team-building abilities with proven multi-tasking skills
