Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate diagnostic radiology equipment to capture high-quality images for accurate diagnoses
• Position patients safely and comfortably, explaining procedures with empathy and clarity
• Ensure image quality and proper labeling while adhering to facility protocols
• Follow radiation safety standards to protect patients, visitors, and staff
• Maintain thorough, accurate documentation in the patient record and imaging systems
• Assist with equipment checks and report issues to keep the department running smoothly
• Participate in orientation and training to support new team members and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Certified or registry-eligible Radiologic Technologist (ARRT preferred)
• Current state radiologic technologist license or ability to obtain Missouri licensure
• BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable working with a diverse patient population and able to provide compassionate care
• Familiarity with imaging protocols and radiation safety practices
• Previous radiology or clinical imaging experience preferred

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program; associate degree or certificate accepted
• ARRT registry preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency operating X-ray/radiography equipment and positioning techniques
• Knowledge of PACS/DICOM workflows and basic imaging software
• Strong patient-handling and communication skills
• Attention to detail for image quality and accurate documentation
• Ability to follow infection control and safety procedures consistently
