Roles & Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations with attention to image quality and patient comfort
Operate and maintain imaging equipment safely and according to protocol
Position patients accurately and apply radiation safety principles to minimize exposure
Collaborate with radiologists and clinical staff to ensure timely, accurate imaging results
Document procedures and findings clearly in the electronic medical record
Provide compassionate patient care, explaining procedures and addressing concerns

Qualifications

State radiologic technologist license or eligible for licensure in Louisiana
ARRT certification preferred or equivalent credential
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
Previous experience in a clinical imaging environment preferred
Strong patient care skills and proven ability to work in a team-oriented setting

Education

Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program; high school diploma or GED required

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency with radiographic imaging techniques and equipment
Knowledge of radiation safety and infection control practices
Comfortable with electronic medical records and basic computer skills
Strong communication skills for interacting with patients and clinical teams
Ability to troubleshoot routine equipment or workflow issues
