Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients to determine functional mobility, impairments, and goals
• Develop individualized treatment plans that prioritize meaningful outcomes
• Implement hands-on and evidence-based therapeutic interventions
• Document progress clearly and timely in the patient record
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and rehab team members to coordinate care
• Provide patient and family education to support recovery and independence
• Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on clinical response and discharge goals
• Champion safety and mobility best practices across the care team

Qualifications

• Active or eligible for Physical Therapist license in Maryland
• Degree in physical therapy (DPT preferred) or equivalent clinical training
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable with documentation in electronic medical records
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; patient-centered mindset
• Previous experience in inpatient or outpatient rehab settings preferred but enthusiastic new grads who meet licensure requirements are welcome to apply

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy or equivalent considered

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient assessment, gait and balance training, and therapeutic exercise
• Familiarity with manual therapy techniques and assistive device training
• Ability to create measurable treatment goals and outcomes
• Proficient clinical documentation and time management
• Good clinical reasoning, patient education, and discharge planning skills
• Comfort working with diverse adult populations recovering from injury or illness
