Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide skilled PTA treatments in a skilled nursing facility to help residents regain mobility and independence
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create and implement individualized care plans
• Document patient progress accurately and timely in the facility’s records
• Educate residents and families on home exercise programs and safe mobility techniques
• Assist with transfers, gait training, and therapeutic interventions while prioritizing patient safety
• Communicate effectively with therapists, nurses, and other staff to support continuity of care

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program (or currently completing program is acceptable)
• Licensed PTA in Florida or eligible to obtain state licensure
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification (or willing to obtain)
• Open to clinicians of all experience levels — new grads welcome
• Ability to pass background checks and facility onboarding requirements
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in therapeutic exercise, gait training, transfers and mobility assistance
• Knowledge of common SNF diagnoses and rehabilitation goals
• Comfortable with documentation and basic electronic medical records
• Good clinical reasoning and ability to modify treatment plans
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with residents, families, and staff
