Roles & Responsibilities

• Ensure patients receive safe, effective drug therapy by overseeing clinical pharmacy services
• Manage drug distribution processes including unit dose and IV admixtures to maintain medication safety and availability
• Provide clinical expertise at the bedside and collaborate with prescribers and nursing staff to optimize therapy
• Deliver teaching and precepting for learners and staff to support ongoing clinical education
• Perform assigned administrative duties to support pharmacy operations and compliance
• Design and conduct pharmacy-related research or quality improvement projects to advance patient care
• Maintain compliance with State and Federal laws, regulations, and hospital policies governing medication use
• Communicate clearly and professionally with the healthcare team, patients, and leadership

Qualifications

• Hospital pharmacy experience required (retail-only experience is not sufficient)
• Self-directed professional with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proven experience with unit dose systems, IV admixtures, and pharmacy computer systems
• Demonstrated clinical pharmacy and drug distribution experience
• Comfort leading teaching activities and participating in administrative or research duties

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical pharmacy practice and medication therapy management
• Drug distribution workflows and unit dose management
• Preparation and oversight of IV admixtures
• Pharmacy computer systems and documentation
• Teaching, research, and administrative processes within a hospital pharmacy
• Strong interdisciplinary communication and teamwork
