Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate MRI equipment to acquire high-quality diagnostic images for patient care
• Perform MRI safety screenings and ensure compliance with MRI safety protocols
• Position patients accurately and compassionately to optimize image quality and comfort
• Document procedures and patient data promptly in Meditech and maintain clear records
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists and clinical staff to support patient workflow
• Maintain and troubleshoot GE MRI equipment and escalate technical issues as needed
• Participate in rotating call, holiday coverage and hurricane team duties as required
• Provide excellent patient education and deliver a positive patient experience

Qualifications

• ARRT (MRI) certification required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years MRI technologist experience (as listed in job posting)
• Hands-on experience with GE MRI equipment preferred
• Comfortable with Meditech documentation system
• Ability to work rotating call, holiday and hurricane team schedules

Education

• Not specified; certifications required: ARRT (MRI) and BLS

Knowledge & Skills

• Thorough knowledge of MRI safety practices and patient screening
• Proficient in MRI imaging protocols and sequence selection
• Familiarity with Meditech electronic documentation
• Experience with GE MRI systems and basic troubleshooting
• Strong patient positioning and communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced hospital radiology settings
