Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic mammography exams with precision and compassion
• Position and educate patients to ensure quality images and comfort
• Operate and maintain mammography equipment following safety protocols
• Ensure accurate documentation and charting in Cerner
• Collaborate with radiologists and the multidisciplinary team to support timely patient care
• Adhere to radiation safety, infection control and HIPAA standards
• Support patient education, answer questions, and provide empathetic care during procedures

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of mammography experience (as listed)
• BLS certification required
• License to submit required (facility will accept appropriate state licensure)
• Experience with Cerner or similar electronic charting systems
• Willingness to complete a 12-hour orientation as provided by the facility

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical mammography techniques and positioning
• Quality control and imaging best practices
• Familiarity with Cerner charting system
• Patient communication and comfort measures
• Radiation safety and infection prevention
• Strong attention to detail and image quality assessment
