Candidate Pay Rate: $36 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing setting
Administer medications and treatments accurately and on schedule
Perform timely, thorough documentation to ensure continuity of care
Collaborate with nursing staff and interdisciplinary team to create person-centered care plans
Monitor resident status, report changes, and escalate concerns promptly
Support residents with activities of daily living while promoting dignity and independence
Participate in shift handoffs and contribute to a positive care environment

Qualifications

Current LPN license in Connecticut (must be active and in good standing)
Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred
Strong communication and teamwork skills with a compassionate bedside manner
Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and facility onboarding requirements

Education

Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program (LPN diploma or equivalent)

Knowledge & Skills

Medication administration and documentation best practices
Basic wound care and monitoring of clinical conditions
Familiarity with care planning and electronic or paper charting
Time management and ability to prioritize tasks in a busy setting
Infection control principles and safe patient handling
