Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to elderly residents, helping with daily living activities
• Assist with bathing, dressing, mobility, and feeding in a respectful and dignified manner
• Observe, document, and promptly report changes in residents’ conditions to nursing staff
• Support individualized care plans and help residents maintain independence
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure continuity and quality of care

Qualifications

• Current GNA classification/certification (required)
• Experience in long-term care or geriatric settings preferred
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
• Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; GNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Knowledge of infection control and resident safety protocols
• Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
• Good documentation habits and attention to detail
• Team-oriented with strong interpersonal and communication skills
