Location: Bowie, MD

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Days: Not specified, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Evening shift, per diem)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $17 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, person-centered care to geriatric residents
Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
Monitor resident condition and report changes to nursing staff promptly
Support mealtime and hydration needs, observing dietary requirements
Document care and resident responses accurately and timely
Work collaboratively with the care team to create a safe, respectful environment

Qualifications

Current GNA certification (required)
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Comfort working with geriatric populations and assisting with ADLs
Clear background check and up-to-date immunizations as required by facility
Reliable attendance and strong communication skills

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of an approved GNA program and current certification

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of basic nursing assistant duties and infection control best practices
Strong interpersonal skills and patience when working with older adults
Basic charting and documentation skills
Ability to safely transfer and ambulate residents using proper body mechanics
Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
