Location: Bowie, MD

Shift Type: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Evening/Second Shift). Days not specified; schedule determined by facility

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents with dignity and respect
Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and feeding
Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report observations to nursing staff
Help create a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
Support social and emotional needs by engaging residents in friendly conversation and activities
Document care accurately and communicate effectively with the care team to ensure continuity

Qualifications

Current GNA certification (or state equivalent) — the key credential for this role
State-required nursing assistant registry listing if applicable in Maryland
Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or able to obtain
Compassionate attitude, patience, and strong interpersonal skills
Previous experience caring for older adults is a plus

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred; GNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Competence in assisting with ADLs and basic resident care
Good observational skills to notice changes in resident condition
Clear, respectful communication with residents, families, and team members
Basic charting and documentation skills
Ability to follow care plans and work collaboratively in a care team
