Roles & Responsibilities

Operate CT and X-ray equipment to perform diagnostic CT and general radiographic exams
Prepare and administer contrast media and perform intravenous contrast injections safely and accurately
Prepare patient rooms, equipment, supplies, and medications for procedures
Ensure quality control and maintain radiation protection and safety standards
Follow ARRT Standards of Ethics and departmental policies while delivering compassionate patient care
Collaborate with the Radiology team and support Enloe Medical Center core values and service excellence

Qualifications

Current full certificate of Radiologic Technology issued by the California Department of Health Services (CRT) required
Approved CPR certification required
ARRT certification and fluoroscopy permit to be obtained within 6 months of hire
Desired: Radiographic contrast media and venipuncture certifications
Desired: Two years diagnostic x-ray experience and one year CT experience
Desired: Advanced CT certification and Radiologic Technologist fluoroscopy permit issued by the State of California

Education

Current full certificate of Radiologic Technology (CRT) issued by the California Department of Health Services
Approved CPR certification

Knowledge & Skills

Strong understanding of cross-sectional anatomy and CT imaging principles
Patient care, positioning, and excellent communication skills
Knowledge of radiation physics, radiation protection, and radiobiology
Quality assurance and equipment operation skills
Critical thinking and problem solving in a fast-paced clinical setting
