Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to patients with dignity and respect
• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly to the care team
• Support safe patient transfers and ambulation using proper body mechanics
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols
• Document care and observations clearly in the patient record to support continuity of care
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to deliver patient-centered care

Qualifications

• Active CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) certification in the state of California
• Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Ability to pass required background checks and drug screening
• Reliable transportation for per-diem assignments
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude
• Previous experience in long-term care, acute care, or similar settings preferred

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred; CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assisting with ADLs and patient hygiene
• Proficient in taking and recording vital signs accurately
• Knowledge of basic infection control and standard precautions
• Comfortable with safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Able to document care clearly and follow facility policies
• Team player with good time management and observational skills
• Compassionate bedside manner and ability to engage patients respectfully
