Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside medical-surgical patient care and assist with daily living needs
• Perform and document vital signs and routine patient assessments accurately
• Conduct EKGs and support cardiac monitoring as needed
• Perform phlebotomy and manage specimen collection safely
• Use a glucometer to monitor blood glucose and report results promptly
• Apply and manage splints per clinician instructions
• Communicate clearly with nurses, physicians, and the care team to promote excellent patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow unit protocols during night shifts and weekend rotations

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential
• Licensed to practice in the State of Maine
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Phlebotomy skills and experience
• Proficiency with EKGs, vital signs monitoring, splinting, and glucometer use
• Comfortable working night shifts and participating in weekend rotations
